Head of Sales (New York)
Location: New York, US Type: FULL TIME

About the Role

We are hiring a full-time Head of Sales to head the company's sales initiatives as well as oversee our global distribution of products. Candidate must be based in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Popinjay’s existing sales channels: online, wholesale (limited partners) and direct sales (popup shops, trunk shows or sales events). This includes outreach as well as management of existing clients
  • Set and meet goals around monthly and quarterly sales projections. Live and breathe sales numbers 
  • Particular focus on online customer acquisition and increasing online conversion. Basic know-how of CRO and basic online analytics needed
  • Work with marketing team to measure the ROI of marketing campaigns on sales and customer engagement
  • Devise creative strategies and out-of-the-box ideas to grow sales
  • Help create compelling customer re-engagement and referral strategies 
  • Provide direct planning support to hosts of trunk shows & other sales events

  • Prior experience with sales of luxury / high-end products
  • Ability to look at your sales projection numbers as your bible
  • Excellent communication skills with prior experience working with retailers
  • Ability to work in a challenging, resource-constrained environment and take initiative
  • Ability to wear different hats and work beyond the job description

Popinjay has a competitive compensation package. Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience, and can be discussed at the first interview.
